After graduating from the Painting Department of the Vilnius Academy of Arts in 2014 I spent a couple of years travelling and volunteering for different organizations. I currently live and work in Vilnius, Lithuania.

My current work examines the social norms from a woman’s perspective, especially the body standards. The impossibly high goals for beauty and excellence is set in the womens' minds from a very early age. To add up, the huge amount of patriarchal shame and disgust about their own bodies: period shaming, female nipple stigmatization, acne, belly rolls, cellulite, stretch marks, body hair. There are never ending rules and regulations to follow. Despite many decades of social activism it seems that the old-school beauty industry is as strong as ever.

My paintings usually depict my ideal person – men and women free of shame, comfortable and confident in their own body, self caring, exploring their sexuality and apologizing for nothing.

Other characters of my work are living their own lives – animals embodied into everyday human emotions, giving you advice or contemplating their life.
